GROUP ANNUAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Small Business Interest Group will pursue the following objectives between 2010 and 2011:
-
Ensure regular communication with the SIG. This involves sending at least monthly emails with updates and setting up conference calls with the most active portion of the membership, when needed.
-
Creative a directory of members within the SIG who are interested in research opportunities or becoming more involved, which would include specialization areas and research interests for collaborative opportunities. This would include only members who consent for their information to be released to other SIG members.
-
Launch one collaborative research effort within the SIG.
-
Create a preconference proposal planning committee, which thus far includes Daniel Degravel and Bill McDowell.
-
Submit a preconference workshop proposal.
-
Find ways to integrate groups, such as S.C.O.R.E., SBDC's, Chambers of Commerce, Microenterprise/Finance councils, and Ad Hoc groups into our work as a SIG.
