GROUP ANNUAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Annually as an element of the Association’s strategic planning process, the Group is to develop a work plan that outlines goals and objectives for the year.  Outlined below are annual goals and objectives adopted by the Group:

  • Grow membership, with special emphasis on adding more members from academic units outside of law schools.
  • Refine Group objectives and post them on USASBE website, along with other webpage information for Group, emphasizing its focus on interdisciplinary collaboration on teaching, research, policy development and other service at intersections of law and entrepreneurship.
  • Establish a social media communication platform for Interest Group connected to USASBE, and utilize these platforms to communicate.  This is to include a bulletin board system of announcing in advance attendance of Group members at various significant mid-year conferences to facilitate networking of Interest Group members at such conferences.
  • Develop a newsletter process to increase communication and participation among Group members; therefore increase overall benefit to both the Group and USASBE
  • Coordinate a special project connecting faculty who have been working on the development of business cases with significant legal issues highlighted.
  • Promote the generation of new interdisciplinary papers by Interest Group members.
  •  Organize a preconference for the January, 2012 USASBE conference, and a full  or partial track for the regular January 2012 conference.
