The Coleman Foundation Best Practitioner Paper Award is presented to the overall best practitioner paper author or coauthors. Finalists are nominated by division/track program chairs. The selection process is coordinated by the USASBE/SBI Competitive Papers Chair.

ET&P Best Conceptual Paper Award

The Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice Best Conceptual Paper Award is presented to the overall best conceptual paper author or coauthors. Finalists are nominated by division/track program chairs. The selection process is coordinated by the USASBE/SBI Competitive Papers Chair and the editor of ET&P.

John Jack Award

The John Jack Award is presented to the overall best paper dealing with entrepreneurship by women or minorities or under conditions of adversity. Finalists are nominated by division/track program chairs. The final selection is coordinated by the USASBE/SBI Competitive Papers Chair and the editor of the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship.

JSBM Editor’s Choice Award

The Journal of Small Business Management Editor’s Choice Award is presented to an overall best paper. Finalists are nominated by division/track program chairs. The final selection is coordinated by the USASBE/SBI Competitive Papers Chair and the editor of JSBM.

JSBS Editor’s Choice Awards

The Journal of Small Business Strategy Editor’s Choice Awards are presented to overall best papers in all SBI categories. Finalists are nominated by the track program chairs. The final selection is coordinated by the SBI Program Chair and the editor of JSBS.

SBA/Advocacy Best Student Paper Award

The SBA/Advocacy Best Student Paper Award is presented to the overall best student paper author or coauthors. Finalists are nominated by division/track program chairs. The final selection is coordinated by the USASBE/SBI Competitive Papers Chair.

USASBE/SBI Best Workshop Awards

USASBE/SBI Best Workshop Awards are presented to the presenters of the best conference workshops in four categories: (1) Entrepreneurship Education; (2) Management Consulting; (3) General Small Business Management; and (4) Family Business. This award is coordinated by the USASBE Competitive Workshops Chair.
