The Executive Director of the Falcone Center is responsible for the Whitman School’s Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE) Program, including the Panasci Business Plan Competition, the South Side Entrepreneurship Connect Project, the South Side Innovation Center, the WISE (Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship) Center and Symposium, the Start-Up Entrepreneurs’ Bootcamp, the Couri Hatchery, the Syracuse Community Test Kitchen, and others.
View More Details (courses to be taught, qualification, experience) >> Course or subject areas to be taught: Academic Qualifications: This position leads all entrepreneurship fundraising efforts with corporations, foundations, individual donors, and government agencies; manages all personnel, financial, marketing, and publicity functions for Falcone Center programs; creates visibility for Whitman at the local and national level; and acts as a liaison for Whitman in matters regarding entrepreneurial outreach across SU, in Central New York, with other business schools and universities, and nationally. Experience Requirements: The Executive Director will possess a record of consistent professional achievement and proven abilities to manage and market a world-class program that is competitive on a local and national level. The individual will have strong organizational and administrative capabilities as well as leadership and training skills. A demonstrated ability to raise funds and sponsorships is essential. The position requires a self-motivated, team player with an ability to juggle the pressures of multiple projects and overlapping deadlines. Experience in a start-up business is highly desirable. A bachelor’s degree and 7 to 10 years of professional experience is required. A graduate degree, particularly an MBA, is preferred.
